Public Hearing Information
The Commissioner is authorized by statute to conduct public hearings to hear complaints regarding the conduct of license establishments. The Commissioner is also authorized to conduct public hearings on pending applications for liquor licenses when 10 or more persons who reside or own property within 1 mile of the premises where a proposed license is to operate file a protest against the application. The Commissioner is also authorized to conduct hearings on a pending application in the absence of a protest when the facts and circumstances warrant a hearing.
